There are a few things that do need to be removed. All coolant hoses...........e.g. thermostat housing, "S" shaped hose that goes to water pump, and the two hoses that go to the heater box. Fuel lines and vacuum lines. I didn't have to remove the egr valve only because I went out and bought a set of swivel sockets (Universal Joint Sockets). They worked awesome in getting at the intake bolts. With these there is no need to remove the fuel rail. I'm sure if your creative you'd be able to do it without them. I think the intake bolts are a 14mm if you want to go just buy the main one you need. Remove all electrical connections. At the back of the intake there is also a bolt that holds the wire casing to the intake. This was probably the hardest bolt to get at for the entire job. Overall, there is very little that needs to be removed and the job could be done in a few hours. Try to keep as much attached to the intake as possible as this will obviously save you time. If you need any other help let me know.
