i just ordered the hrparts poly motor mounts. i think busted stock motor mounts are causing false knock. at least i hope because with my setup (low boost, razors alky, barely any timing) i shouldnt have knock. what is the process of replacing motor mounts? do you have to jack up the car and the motor with separate jacks? are they easy to reach, etc. what am i getting myself into? any info is appreciated.

I only did my drivers side, wasn't hard. Just loosen the long bolts that go through the clamshell, break loose the 2 bolts that bolt to the block, then jack it up with the jack, with a piece of wood on the oil pan. Lift very carefully! You may need to put the car up on stands, then do this so you can work underneath the car easier. :D

I agree just do the drivers side.

I took off the drivers side tire for easier access.

Got two passenger mounts here for a "someday" job, that side is a bit harder.

They usually don't break anyway.... ;)

The directions that come with the mounts are very good and should be all you need to get it done correctly.

one thing.... most people are smarter then me but if you have a turnbuckle on your motor, DISCONNECT IT! it makes the job go much easier.

while you under there a new tranny mount is always a nice idea as well
