They are stock in my 87 GN. They have begun to seperate from the frame so they are buzzing pretty badly.

There are a lot of nice looking 4x10's on EBAY for less than 30.00. Boss, Pyle, Pioneer are just some of the brands I saw.

Questions:
1) the stock Delcon Sound speakers are 10 ohm. What if I stick two 4 ohm speakers in their place? Will the car explode? Kidding but I really don't know what the difference is.

2) do all 4x10 aftermarket speakers fit in the stock location with ZERO modifications to the car? I want them to hang in the stock spot with the stock hangers.

3) anyone have a favorite brand and model?

TIA

Bill

Bill,
I have a pair of original 4 X 10s out of my GN that are not dry rotted and still play that are for sale in the "Parts for sale" section for $5.00 for the pair if you are interested in an O.E.M. pieces.

6x9"s will sound MUCH better & installation is simple using a 4x10 to 6x9 adapter (available at any stereo shop) I really like Cerwin Vega Stealth series speakers, great sound quality for the money.
