I have an TCI 2004R with a GN valvebody to which I added an Art Carr shift kit. Reverse has been lame, (very soft when put into gear), from day one since I put in my original GN valvebody. Otherwise it shifts and works perfectly. Reverse works, it doesn't slip, it just does not give a good solid bang when I put it into reverse. It acts like the fluid is partially being directed to the proper channels but not all the way. While I have it out, is there anything I can check?

install a pressure gage on it.if it is out already check the low reverse case plug between the case and the low support,a missing or misposioned checkball or gaskets,a loose 1/2 accumulaot housing and or damaged acc cover gasket,or a sticking or damaged rev boost valve.
