revs up

I back out of the garage and shift to drive she revs up a little, not a lot but enough. So to stop her from banging into gear I wait 5 seconds then shift. What could it be?

I had issues like that when I had a vacuum leak. Your tps sensor could be off just a tad as well if it does it in park and neutral. Just a thought though. Good luck
