all of a sudden the car is idling real rich. BLM is 129-131...INT is 128. While driving (coasting, foot off gas) I flipped through the they were both 129. TPS is .44 with the car running. My narrow band numbers are like 720-820 at idle. It's nuts. It'll load up if you are sitting idling for a while. Vac #s still look normal...car has always seen @18".
The only thing that has changed is valve covers. My pcv is capped off and I've got the TA covers with the big nice breathers on each.

Bad 02 sensor. SES light? (comes on while sitting, but then goes out when you accelerate normally)

my gut instinct is O2 as well...I had already decided I was going to change it tomorrow...got one on the shelf. I'll post back then.

so while at idle your BLM & INT are 129-131? And 02's are just up in the 700-800's? Those are 100% fine.

What do you mean load up?

it's usually idled in the 500-600s. know the blm and int numbers are within good windows. But it idles really rich and acts like it has too much fuel at idle. U can rev it and it will clean up. It's wierd. Fuel psi is in a gauge on the hood, so I watch it all the time...nothing has changed there.
It only does this odd idle once the car is up to temp.

If the 02's are holding 700-800 at idle, there is something wrong. (unless he is running a TT chip.)Just saw TT.

The strange idle stumble after warm up....I remember when that happened to me. It was an 02 sensor. BUT I got SES, which is a dead giveaway.

His sig. states a TT chip. I have a TT street chip (which may be different) but my idle mV is usually in the 3-400 range.

TT Uses open loop idle for smoothness. The values won't fluctuate, not like they normally would. 100-800 fluctuations.

funny...I went to swap out the O2 and I had to move the car real quick to put some stuff in my shop attic. So I ended up going for a spin. It's 20 deg warmer outside today...problem solved. That's freaky. This car has always liked temps higher than 60deg outside. Just ran smoother in those temps. I'm going to change the O2 and the fuel filter as a maintenance item though.
