I'm not sure but that looks like the same Monte Carlo that destroyed his windshield last year with a nitrous backfire and was racing the next day.

If he was running Limited Street, W's are not allowed so it had to be a true 10.5.

Just an FYI..

Richie, That was an awesome In-Car vid! I think you are definitely the fastest V6 Buick on 10.5s (true or W) at 3000lbs... The only other car I can think of that might give you some competition is the White Racing car... I think it's also safe to say you easily have one of, if not the most impressive LS cars running consistent 5.0's with the V6!!! Just plain sick:eek:

Richie's car is in MY OPINION the most impresive v-6 Buick in the land. I don't know how much faster he can go with the v-6.
Dan should start building him a 400 + CI Symetrical Headed SBC.
Considering how fast he is with the v6 he would be the fastest in the class with another 170CI.

While I completely agree Richie's car is awesome, I'm not so sure a v8 would do him any good. Keep in mind many guys are making close to 2000hp in Limited street but are only using a fraction of the power. It's all about putting it down.

Great job in Huntsville Richie. You represented the Buick crowd well!

I agree it is all about putting it down with the small tires and no wheelie bars, but at the same time I tend to think some extra power would certainly help Richie cause the fastest guys in the class like your friend Jeff seem to be going 150+mph... One thing's for sure the LS class is a very exciting class to watch!

Richie and Dan Strezo have talked about it, so I am guessing Richie thinks it would help. ;)

Don't worry there will be other small tired buick v-6s coming out.
I can think of one right of off the top of my head!

I didn't mean to imply it wouldn't help, although that's exactly what I said... haha....
Simply that he is making the power to run RIGHT in the middle of the pack (if not the quicker end of it)..
However, I'm assuming he's running it pretty hard to do so. The v8 would help, I just think the idea that he's doing it with the v6 is awesome. And no I am NOT a v8 hater. I love them too.

:D

Brick, we need to get together and go to a race sometime bud!

Would be nice to meet ya... I'd like to check out one of these big Outlaw 1/8th mile events like at Huntsville... I was never really into the 1/8th mile stuff, but I'm starting to like it... Couple weeks ago I finally went to my local 1/8th mile track Immokalee www.immrace.com just to spectate on a TnT night with my dad... Was pretty impressed with some of the faster cars that showed up... One was a FFW S/R N20 Mustang owned/driven by Ronnie Wilson... Car ran 5.50's @130+mph with him having trouble keeping it from carrying the front tires... Found out he went from an iron block to an aluminum block so this is why the car wanted to wheelie...

And I can think of another small tired v-6 coming out except it's not a Buick.......

Well the only reason I made the comparison is because the White Racing car runs on 10.5 tires (although they run on W's and Richie runs on the true 10.5X29.5) and in the 1/8th they have run a 5.14 @142mph from what their website says so AFAIK they are the only 10.5 tired Buick that is close to what Richie has run..... Also, I remember them saying the car was around 3000lbs w/driver (I'm guessing they have to use a good bit of ballast considering the fiberglass front clip) so it seemed like a decent comparison as far as weight goes... Richie also runs a Liquid IC, but he is single turbo... The main difference that I see between the two that you failed to mention is the wheelie bars! Richie doesn't run them and is not allowed because of the LS rules and White Racing obviously runs them... I agree with you though they are two different cars and Richie's car is the baddest V6 in the land!

Both Dans (DAN WHITE & DAN@DLS)are very smart and well respected engine builders in the V6 community! Im sure if Dan(father/tuner) and Chris white(son/engine builder/driver whos only 21yrs of age) set out to run such class theyd be right at TOP on side Riches turbo buick! While they do utilize WHEELIE BARS they dont use BOOST CONTROLERS! The cars are very similar in many was, i just think once u add another turbo to the program THAT SETS THE CARS A WORLD APART(well the ET & hp should say it) ! JUST CURIOUS HOW FAST WOULD RICHIE GO WITH ANOTHER TURBO AND THE 29Ws OUT BACK!

Can't we all get along?

I think Duttweiler would smoke them both!;)
Just Kidding!
