Just thought I would offer my review of the RJC 3" crossflow exhaust for those contemplating a purchase. The pipes and craftsmenship are really top notch - I never minded paying a little extra when I know what I am buying will be a no nonsense piece and I won't have to mess around customizing it to work as it should have ..….The exhaust comes with all the parts you need. I didn't have the factory hangers anymore, so I did have to buy a hanger from the local parts store, but otherwise everything else was included - well labeled and packaged. I installed the system by myself with the car on jacks in my garage. I had to get a little creative with some bungee straps and such to hold everything in place while I got everything positioned where I wanted it, but that wasn't a big deal. It would have been even easier with a second set of hands though and a lift, but I had to make due with what I had…

I previously had a hooker exhaust, and the tail pipes interfered with my 325's I have on the car. Perhaps the hooker exhaust could have been repositioned to clear, but I didn’t want to lose my excuse to buy new exhaust. The hooker exhaust was very close to the H&R bar as well as the driveshaft. So at any rate, I took a slight gamble on the 3" RJC system and hoped it wouldn't interefere with my 325's without modification - fortunately it clears with a plenty of space. and is tucked up in under the car very nicely - much better than the hooker system i had.

I finally had a chance to start it up last night, and it sounds awesome. It has a real nice "agressive bite" to the sound upon initial startup and nice deep sound at idle - you know that sound that brings a deviant smile to your face everytime you hear it.... I haven't had to a chance to drive it yet, that should happen tonight, so I'll post up my initial driving experience then.

So in a nutshell - I would recommend spending the extra dough on this system every day of the week, as you know you will get a high quality no bullshit system!! It also sounds really good! Fit is perfect - i didn't have to mess with clearing my HR bar, driveshaft, axle or my wide 325's....

I'll try to take some pics and perhaps a sound clip this weekend.

Thanks that would be nice instead of listening to the only "T" type exhaust system on RJC site
For a while I search and review many exhaust system, and found this 3"RJC system, the looks and sounds, but like I said many would like to heard from different TR engines.

I have been meaning to record mine and post it. It sounds better than on their website. Its actually pretty quite but I like it that way.

Good to hear feedback on this exhaust system, Jason has always put a lot of thought into his products. I have his girdle, crank scraper, front mount intercooler, deep dish oil pan, throttle body plate .... I guess that's it. Anyway so far, no complaints with any of his products!!

Please let me know how much interior drone you encounter with this exhaust.

I'm all for it sounding bad ass on the outside, but hate having to hear it on the inside, with the windows closed. Especially around the 2000 rpm range.

Then you'd HATE it in my '69 Vette with sidepipes.....you can hear it at ALL rpms, with the windows up or down.....as a matter of fact, you can hear it even when the engine's off!!! (after a nice trip) I live for very, very loud powerful engines.....it's a sickness with me....my drug, if you will.:)

Music to my ears.....going deaf, might as well go deaf in style......and my RJC 3" exhaust on the '87 GN is just awesome! Nice and loud for me.........Jason put together the prettiest exhaust system I've ever seen.....so pretty I wanted to hang it on the wall above my fireplace, but, you see..er....ah...I have a wife, you know?

With respect to drone....Do you hear the exhaust going down the road? yes...but it sounds awesome....Now when i think of drone i think of that resonating sound at that certain rpm that will drive ya nutty...Does this exhaust drone? Not that I have experienced so far, i have yet to get it on the highway at 60-70 mph. I was about to today, but the rain chased me away... It is noisier than my hooker exhaust with the aerochambers, but I like it a lot more. It has a nice snarl to it....

The exhaust is really a nice work of art...its a shame you only see the last couple inches of the tail pipes!

Here some pics...the car is rather dusty from sitting in the garage, so nevermind the dust...

Music to my ears, thank you for the sound. Did you notice any interior drone sound while driving?

Ah, man, thanks for posting the sound of the RJC system.....absolute music to a fast man's ears.....sounds just great! Just like mine....if our cars ever got together, they'd be famous as a duet in "T major 87th" (bad example of a musical note) but you get my drift.....really sounds so damn cool......loved it....thanks kindly. Put me in a good mood again.

Dust or not, your car is gorgeous.

Got this exhaust on my car,the sound is great exactly what I was looking for.I love the sound at wide open throttle too!:D

I got a chance to get the car up on the highway last night. While cruising the exhaust is hardly noticable. Air leaking by window gaskets is noisier than the exhaust
