Thinking about stepping out on a set of these, anyone have problems cooling or belt squeal?

I have bought 3 sets for my last 3 cars from Jason. Cant beat them imo. There are others but I think his function the best. Much lighter then stock.

Go to his website. It shows how much lighter each one is compared to stock.

no issues...and the engine spools quicker.

this^^^

Any rotating or reciprocating weight removed will result in a faster revving engine.
Rotating weight is anything spinning... crank, balancer, pulleys, torque converter, flexplate, etc...
Reciprocating weight is anything that changes direction... rings, wrist pins, pistons, rods, rod bearings, etc...

It's pretty much that simple. :D

I know all of that stuff, i was just wondering how much. I was curious to see your results, because I was going to get a pair, and then everyone on here said forget it, the difference is negligible..

You will notice a subtle difference and snappy throttle response.

The thing people always ask is... "How much difference?"

The problem with a question like that is, very seldom does a single part swap make a huge noticable difference, unless it's something big like a turbo/converter/nitrous/etc... But a combination of small improvements will always work better together as a cumulative effort.

It's just like removing weight from the car...

You may not notice any difference by removing 10lbs from the car, but remove it from 20 different places on the car and you just shed 200lbs.

I don't look at a pulley swap as a big improvement by itself (allthough it's easy to notice the improved throttle response) but instead just another small but important ingredient in a much bigger recipe.

Does that make any sense ? ;)

Make sure you tighten the alternator nut, otherwise aluminum grinds down WAY faster than steel.

I caught mine after it came loose in 2 miles and really had to work to save/resurface the face of it to be able to rebolt it and use it again.

Loctited it with some med. duty stuff on the daily driver. ;)

Obviously they are more of a show (garage queen) or race car part, but work fine on a daily street car assuming you clean them every now and then. I've got about 15K miles on mine now on the GN.

I was at 12.1 at 112 for passes 5 and 6 in the GN, until I put them on and then went 11.9 at 114 on pump and alky.

Of course passes 7 and 8 on the car were... on a different day, year, weather, same crappy track, who knows about the boost levels and timing. :D

I'll give RJC some credit for it. :)

No issues with cooling or belt squeal.
