Just got them in today and bolt does not go into the recess area. I'll call tomorrow, is this normal?

Mine fit w/o problems, this is the best pic I have...

Wonder if your bolts were replaced at one time with some with larger shoulders? The ones S10 posted are the sames ones I always see...

Thanks for the pic and perhaps you are correct and the bolts were swapped out. The shoulder does not fit in the recess at all. Also I assume the sides are not suppose to touch the pedestal. Don't think they need to as it appears to just spread the load. Thanks again.

Worst case scenario you could hit the edges a tiny bit with a bench grinder to let the settle all the way in to the recessed area.

Count the threads, or check how much actually get threaded into the bolt holes. Beware or you could pull the threads out as there is less threads you are threading into. You could get longer bolts, use studs (TA Perf had them last I checked), or just be careful. Make sure you tighten them down evenly too. I have heard someone trying to bolt one all the way down and it put the shaft at a strange angle, too much pressure on the single bolt and they have broken the bolts and/or pulled threads out.

i had two bolts on my car that you could tell where not original, well maybe they where but where different then the rest. they would not fit into the recess area. just a FYI

I'm told these are the original bolts, I guess the supports aren't made to spec. I'll get the TA stud kit as I don't want to pull out threads, and go from there. Thanks for all the advice.
