all bearings are showing copper why? motor only has 65,000 original miles thrust has .032 play

Possibly your convertor ballooned for the thrust. The copper issue....what was your oil psi? If the crank looks good I'd rebearing it and let it eat until your ready to lay down some cash for a total rebuild. Possibly your front cover is worn in the oil pump area so oil psi/volume is low,or front cam bearing is toast....

convertor is new the old one still had 1/4 inch to pull against the flexplate. my oil psi was 50 and 70 cold and 35 and 55 warm.?????????????????????

All that sounds good......why did you investigate?
knocking noise when i revved the motor also when i took the lifters out they all looked good exdept number 3 exh. has a little circular wear nothing major

I'd pull the front cover and look closely at the oil pump also the cam and look at the #1 cam bearing for a groove.

Same here....had a knock in the bottom end at anything above idle, but so far the rod bearings looked decent. #1, 3 had some discoloration/roughness, but the rest looked awesome, even with 175K miles on the clock. Time for some upgrades to the lower end.... :D

rod bearings looking like that are most likely hammered from too much knock/detonation.

thanks guys pulled front cover and had a double roller in it so it was rebuilt before no groove in cam bearing did knock alot cause of fuel pump went bad

Since your cam bearings look good, just replace the rods and mains, get a stock style chain. Check the oil pump for clearence and wear. If in doubt replace it. Not sure that new mains will get that thrust back in spec(.003-.013).

why not keep the double roller also what do i need to do with the thrust?another thing is they still put the tensioner on the double roller i thought you were supposed to eliminate that

Unless you have a roller cam it's not necessary. If you use the tensioner with it,it will chew it up and spit shavings throughout the motor. If you keep it loose the tensioner. Double rollers can be noisy and help aggrivate false knock. Stock chain is quiet and last a long time.

Thrust all you can do is install a new bearing see where it comes out at. Then decide to let it fly(bad idea) or have crank turned for over sized thrust. My shop has done this for me and it was nice :)
