Anyone interested? I found a source Ernie MacDaniel Race Car Fabrication, Davie, FL.

Its $475 for DOM tubing (mid steel) and $100 more Chrome Molly. Its a 6 point with two removable swing outs. And its a complete kit. Shipping is around $200 for 2nd day air. No other shipping service available. Its HIGHLY reccomended from Nick Micale. Only mods to the interior are trimming the carpet around the posts and going through the package shelf. Done properly,
it will look like a factory job. No interference with door
panels and window switches open for access.

Anyone interested please let me know.

Do not waste your $$$ on chrome molly. Only saves about 20#'s and must be TIG welded which is lots more time-consuming and expensive.

Have installed many of Ernie's GN kits and is the only one that FITS the car correctly w/o more bending and welding.

does all the bars come jig notched already for a true hold and weld install? or do you have to notch them?

The 2 back bars are notched. Only piece that needs to be trimmed is the uprights on the hoop. Depending on how the frame is reinforced, height of the bar is set be slight cut on the bottom of the hoop to set installed height in the car.

Nick, how much is the shipping weigh for the mild steel bar? Can you also get the box dimensions? I may be able to get a better deal on the shipping to Hawaii.

John,

I'll have to ask Ernie about that unless Nick can answer that question. When I spoke to Ernie I think if I were to go with the Chrome Molly its going to be the same price for shipping.

Spoke to Ernie today and we can get 10% off if we purchase 3 or more roll bars. Shipping will be the same as if were to purchase 1.

Also on the Chrome Molly Craig tig welds the bar anyways so it won't cost more. And its around 25lbs lighter for the Chrome Molly vs. the mild steel.

I know thats high. He said he don't offer the USPS service or the put it on a boat because of the long drive he got to go to do this. I guess where the location he's at. I also got a $292 price for next day air

Yes its UPS. He did not offer FedX, would it be cheaper?

Also there is no box for the bar and pieces just for the accessories.
