I've seen the articles in GSCA on roller cams versus flat tappet cams and the roller seems to make more hp.But has anyone changed to roller of the same size(lift & duration) and could report a good comparison? Street manners and strip? Something in the 206/206 range.

You will get better results using the search function, moving this post to the engine tech section, or general tech section. The search function in these areas will provide you with hours or reading. But... I would not chance a flat tappet due to the current oil quality issues!

you gain more with the roller setups on the bigger grinds. the rollers make more power because they can "ramp" faster(steeper lobes). on a 206/206 cam i would expect it to be more reliable going roller. but not really expect much gain, but there would be a little difference. 10-15hp i would guess. and going roller you dont have to worry about wiping a cam lobe.

I've used both in my race cars but Have never just upgraded to a roller of the same basic specs. Rollers definitely make more power.I was just curious as to someone's actual comparison on a mild sreet cam.
