Ruger SR9

Anyone have any experience with the new Ruger SR9's? My father in law was looking for a Springfield XD, but didn't like how it doesn't have a safety. Sales guy at Gander Mtn showed him the Ruger and it actually seemed pretty nice. Said the only negative he knew of is that it is still a relatively new piece.

Im also curious as I went to a place on friday to look at the ruger p95 and got convinced that the sr9 is the way to go. I guess it was gun of the year?

picked up a SR9C. compact version of the SR9 really like it.safty on both sides of the frame. when chambered part on the slide pops up. to let you know its chambered.put several hundred rounds thur it with no problem. and hit all targets with a tight pattern.comes with 10 round & 17 round mag for $500.00 bucks.

Pick them both up and see how they feel. Don't buy off of some one's choice... Check out the Smith M&P's too, my personal favorite
