I didn't read through all the replies, but fwiw I run a 110oct chip w/ 26* timing and 24psi on 93 octane and SMC alch injection.. no knock and it pulls like a sum-gun :)

Super Smart Sam.

Your right slap-nut there is no difference between leaded & unleaded gas, that's why all the non stainless downpipes that I've removed off every motor running on LEADED RACE GAS have RUST flaking off in chunk's from the inside and the Ex. housing on the turbo covered with rust, but I know it's all in my head since the unleaded motor's pipes ALL have a rich Black exhaust coating covering everything, sh$T, is it my eye's, or could it be the LEAD?

Well, no need to resort to name calling, but have you ever considered that ANY non stainless pipe (especially on a turbo'd car) WILL RUST?! Again, why didn't all those cars back in the day that ran strictly leaded fuel have problems with rust on the heads and whatever else you mentioned? I'll tell you why, its because leaded fuels don't promote rust!

Like I said, my buddies T type saw only leaded 116, and I actually have his old turbo on my car. I took his downpipe off when we pulled the motor, it looks fine. The turbo is fine also.

Aside from the nonsense theory you have about leaded fuels, explain how adding a little bit of lube to multiple gallons of gasoline is going to stop rust. Aside from the fact that it would be so diluted by the fuel that it doesn't even matter, it would be burned in the combustion process and offer no protection against rust in the exhaust.

And try to answer my questions without acting like a jack ass. The attitude is not needed and just shows poor character.

I can get 106 Phillips 66 race gas for $3.25 a gal, I mix that with texaco pump 91 and have no problems.

I run straight mix at the track. Also, yes the lead proof o2 is a must, still cranking the cross counts good after 1 tank of straight 106
