We've had some major head debates here lately. I would suggest going back through the board to early July, and read these different discussions. Alot of good info has been passed around, and many opinions have been shared. I typically agree with what "azGN" says. He seems to have all his ducks in a row, when it comes to GN knowledge. To expand on his head analogy, I always try to explain it to someone as this; A motor is nothing more than a big air pump. The goal is to get as much air in, and as much air out, as freely as possible. Therefore, ported heads will help you tremendously! And, if you are going to drive the thing alot, stick with the ported irons. I have a beautiful set of the Champion CNC's, which I highly recommend,,, but you can rest assured that no sooner than I post this, some of my fellow turbo bretheren will come back with their ported iron suggestions. Either way, we usually agree that a good set of ported irons will get you into the mid to high 10's if need be, and certainly support low 11's! They will also allow for daily driver durability, with no hassles. Go back and read some of those threads I mentioned, and also be prepared for a plethora of responses to this one. Before you do any of this, make sure your fuel system is upgraded and able to support above and beyond your initial needs.
