That's actually pretty cheap for a used 2.1. They generally go for almost new prices.

As mentioned, $205 shipped is a good price and more importantly its from a good seller. You won't get any run around bs from 87chrisss. I understand the finances part though...they pop up here pretty regularly so just keep your eyes peeled when ready to buy. Be sure to get a 2.1 and not the 2.0

Why not the 2.0 as opposed to the 2.1 besides the fact that it's newer?

The 2.1 reads faster and has 02 cross counts. I believe a 2.0 can be updated to a 2.1 at an additional cost though. Having said that, a 2.0 is better than no scanmaster at all so if finances are that tight get a 2.0 and update it when you have the extra cash. FullThrottle used to sell the upgrade chip but I'm not sure if they still do.

also if you decide to go to power logger i don't think your 2.0 can be upgraded. so instead of buying 2xs id save enough and just get 2.1 but if you feel you will never go to pl then get a sm asap! i personally like Earls link but I'm biased

I know I know but I only have so much money to spend. I really shouldn't be spending anymore money on this thing than I already have but that's what happens with these toys
