There's your problem... IAC = idle air control. You need to reset the IAC, however, this will screw up your TPS (throttle position sensor - which happens to be PERFECT in the numbers above). No fear though... reset the IAC, then reset the TPS. Follow the EXACT procedure in the following link, and then report back with the new numbers... (this procedure will affect the INT and BLM at idle, which are off, but likely due to the IAC problem)

IAC Reset Procedure

The procedure to reset the TPS is linked at the end of the above link. Credit goes to Turbo Regal Web Site  See that you're new here. Welcome! Have fun, and don't be afraid to ask questions as they come. Your numbers look pretty good, otherwise....

my iac is going down as the car warm up to 00 no matter what I do. I even got a new iac and tried it. It goes from 171 to 77 to 32 to 22,16,4 and to 00:mad: It won't hold in the numbers it should:confused: Now the car cuts off when I put it in gear.

Those symptoms strongly suggest that you have a significant vacuum leak somewhere. Cranking open the throttle plate may have allowed the car to idle decently and mask the problem. Do a search on the site for 'vacuum' or 'vacuum leak' and start reading. You'll find numerous strategies to find it. I know you're new here so don't get discouraged. There's alot more help here than me. They'll chime in soon. Keep posting your work and results. We'll get it straightened out. Like I said, your numbers are pretty good... it's likely an obvious problem. Start out checking ALL your vac. lines. They get hard/brittle over time and leak. Replace them as you find the hard ones. Cheap and easy. Let us know what you find.

Oh yea.... COPY THIS THREAD AND REPOST AS A NEW THREAD OVER IN THE 'GENERAL TECH' SECTION OF THE SITE!... that's where you'll get alot more response. This is kind of a little 'niche' area of the site...

edit - maybe send a PM to SGRIM (site owner) asking him to MOVE this thread over to the other section. I'm sure he will if you ask...

No problemo... This is a great group. I learn something EVERY time I get on here... and there's ALOT to learn about these cars. You'll find this place and gnttype.org invaluable. You should subscribe there also. They have the BEST technical resource pages, bar none. Great group there also... mostly LONG timers. Don't be afraid to ask questions... I do all the time.... only dumb questions are ones you don't ask. :p Like I said before, try and get this thread moved over to the General Tech section... or just repost the original question and what you've found so far up there, and I'm sure alot of others who've gone thru the same thing will help you out. This is definitely not the first time I've seen the 'IAC keeps going to 0' problem. Welcome to the dark side....
