Scanmaster grounded through diagnostic port cause rich condition?

Just installed scanmaster with power through ignition switch and grounded through aldl port. Would this cause the car to think it is in constant diagnostic mode? Is there such thing and would it cause the car to run any richer than it normallly would (keep in mind i run constant open loop anyway) Cruising down the interstate my afr has dropped almost a full point since install.

not that I am aware of.

the ecm data is blindly transmitted, the ecm cannot sense whether anything is connected, and cannot receive anything on that line.
