Ok, Hope to get some info here because after doing some searches and reading up on gnttype i'm almost getting it.

Both runs were at 17 psi boost and 47 static fuel.
Walbro pump and 40lb Inj.
Gas- About 2.5g 93 and 5g of 94.

1st
02- 667
KR 4.7
( Car popped kinda backfired i think when i mashed it)

2nd
02-562
KR 2.8
(Felt good)

Now after all that i let the car cool down and got these readings at idle.

Iac-27-30
Int-121-134
Bl 136 Steady
RPM 975
Tps .42idle, 4.66 WOT

Also it feels like i'm slipping from 2nd to 3rd.... at WOT

Thanks:D

you didn't mention 3rd gear, but if you keep this up, you will be learning how to change headgaskets real soon (or more)

turn the boost down a bit and try again

Where is everybody?

I'm thinking that "1st and 2nd" mean 1st pass and 2nd pass
right?
In either case, your running too lean, O2 readings should be
around 780 I think, and KR should be closer to 0.
I'm no expert, but I think your getting ready to do some damage,
Try a little more fuel psi, or turn down the boost, to try and get
your readings where they should be:eek:

think you are right "Top"........

if the 02's are right, you are running lean, prolly from a lack of octane, not fuel........turn the boost down first until you get 0 knock.......then add some boost and fuel pressure and see what happens...still shooting for 0 or very low knock retard...."normal" 02's at WOT in 3rd gear should be 760-800 to be safe...no knock

Alright sounds cool........ I'll turn the boost down and see what happens. So there is a chance if i turn the boost down then my 02 may go up right? Ok, have to try that tomorrow. I'll repost some numbers tomorrow,

Thanks again...

I was never able to run more than 16 lbs of boost on 93 octane with a somewhat stock setup. 17lbs of boost and it would lean out, knock and slow down. Turning down the boost will give the motor less air, which in turn will raise the ratio of fuel to air and "fatten" up your 02 numbers.

Ok i think i may have some other stuff going on here. Did the following
Left FUel at 47 static

Turn boost down to 13

Car bogged at first so i let off, Then tried it again got 692-02, 6.7KR

turned it up a bit to 14 car popped out of the tailpipe got 702-02
and 2.6KR.

Do you think i'm running to much fuel, for such low boost? The car is idling rough today, Very shakey when i take off from a stop. I wonder if coil pack is ok.

I had Jac C burn the chip for my INJ maybe i should have him tweak it out.

It's amazing one day i get 768-02 with 2.3KR then do not touch it and start to get these readings.. I dunno....

Thanks for the info and input.

fuel filter is about two month's old, O2 as well. Did a complete tune about 2 month's ago. You know i'm gonna check my hot wire connection maybe something got burnt, Also my fuel presssure gauge bounces around at WOT but not sure if it was due to being outside and the wind shaking it.

MORE NUMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok unplugged hot wire kit, DId not improve my rough idle but here is my 02 and KR at WOT also 13 psi boost.

1) 769 1.9 KR
2) 714 19.5 KR
3)738 0 KR

Why such inconsistency?????
Also what way can i test voltage coming from the coil pack going into wires anyway of doing that?????? The car idles rough like bad wire, but all wires are new......

Well if you weren't in your own world I would tell you to go to a local TR guy. They have coil pack testers. Simple little gizmo that looks like it should belong in a frankenstien movie.

The 02 inconsistancy is puzzling. What kind of voltage are you getting during WOT. It may be dying out on you leaving you with not enough voltage to push the fuel pump.

When you do the WOT blasts make sure you do them in 3rd gear, so that you don't get readings from a shift. Shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 can give you wierd readings - low 02 and knock counts.

When you do the WOT blasts make sure you do them in 3rd gear,

Ok, SO i should be in 3rd then punch it, You see i did it several ways cruisin and at idle. MAy answer the inconsistency. So i did notice i got the better reading when cruisin the mashing it,

Voltage at WOT unkown, I'll look into that.

My freind and I have like 2 coil packs so i'm gonna swap em and see if anything changes.

Well if you weren't in your own world I would tell you to go to a local TR guy.

I'm about 1.5 hours from Jack Cotton in MASS.

I'm confident I'll get this all figured out......

Thanks for your help.

What are your EGT's while all this is going on? You do have the gauge listed in your sig. right?

And what about the plugs what do they look like now?

I didn't mean to sound like a smartass, when I said "in your own world" but you don't have your location listed. It helps us help you. If you were in colorado at 6500 ft elevation, then that is another variable we need to take into consideration when trying to help.

Good Luck.

Can you explain your first statement?.

As for number 2, in comparing, my O2 voltages to a WB, 830 was 12.5 and well as 11.8 was. They are hardly accurate enough to tune too. EGT and EGB effect their reasdings. While someone might note that their engine runs well at a particular O2 voltage, you can get into trouble, assuming the O2 voltage is accurate.
