Is there any other options besides using hi-temp silicone to seal the downpipe to turbo, and turbo to header mount flange?

The silicone seems to last for a few thousand miles then begin to leak.

HOW

Turbo to header you can use a composite gasket.

A search will turn up an aftermarket number I believe.

RTV for the downpipe to turbo.

I've never used a gasket because there was not one there from the factory. The surfaces are machined flat and are designed to not use a gasket. Some folks use the turbo Rivera gasket, but once used you will always have to use a gasket because it will wrap the machined surface. I little bit of water leaking from condensation is normal upon startup and is not an issue as long as you can't feel any exhaust gas escaping there.

didnt catch if you were using a stock DP /elbow
for the turbo to exhaust header thats a no gasket seal
on the Down pipe i used the lead donut type gasket that came in the felpro turbo gasket kit (11.27 at advance auto),
gasket kit # ES 72697
1-60658 throttle body (looks like its the inlet bell gasket)
1-60755 turbo exhaust (sleeved lead donut at downpipe)
1-90587 oil drain connector(oil return gasket for bottom of turbo)
1-92694 retainer adapter connector seal (oring?)
2-oilcooler adapter to oil pump cover (2 large o rings for oil adapter)

My car had a copper gasket between the turbo and downpipe when I bought it and it now seals better without a gasket.

gasket not needed in either place....and if you use 'em, they'll leak after a while

have the surfaces trued and bolt 'em up!
