Sealing Up Pipe

After removing and installing my ATR up pipe a few times for turbo upgrades and repairs I found that it does'nt seal as good anymore due to the clamp bending at the header end. anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it. this leak is killing my spool up, not to mention it makes my car sound like s***. any help would be appreciated.

Ultra Copper by Permatex.

That will cure ALL your sealing problems. Its a gooey sealant you put around the edge of the connection and bolt 'er up. Let it dry for a bit though b4 you fire it up.

Worked wonders for me.

What is the temp rating on that stuff? I was only able to find 750 degree max stuff.

I have same problem. I used the ultra copper. I went for a test run and when I got back and opened the hood. It was on fire!!!
Be careful and check it. I guess it gets hotter than 750 degrees under these hot air hoods.

Guys...U gotta let it set for quite awhile.

Do it in the afternoon...leave the car alone till next afternoon. Mine works fine but its gotta set properly.

Personally I've had enough fires to know they are not fun no matter how small.Try this it worked for me and still does to this day and I've had it off a few times ince and when I bolt it back up it re-seals.Only chemical needed is a little never seize.Sometimes these pipes get cherry red,750 ain't gonna cut it not to mention what a piece of dried rtv would do to a turbo.
