I spend alot of $$ at sears but they pissed me off today.

I went in there to get a replacement chain for my crapsman pole saw. They don't stock the replacement chain for the product thay sell and to top it off they tried to charge me $9.00 shipping on a $15.00 chain:mad:

I told them to pack sand and that I would hit up Home Depot around the corner from them.

How can you sell a product and then charge shipping on a common replacement part becuase you don't stock it?

How can Home Depot sell a faucet in California that you can't get replacement parts for because they aren't available in CA or Vermont !

Stores (people) don't care anymore

I've pretty well given up on sears other than for servicing my old tools. Now you say I'm gonna have trouble with that too? Great:rolleyes:

They've been gone to crap since the same idiots who ran Kmart into the ground somehow took em over.

There's John Deere, Stihl, and Toro lawnmower, etc, shops all around here. Local businesses with quality tools for certain occasions. I prefer to spend my money where it will do the most good locally.;)

Screw the big chains who sell cheap chinese replacement item junk. I want things I can count on.:D

they know that most people that buy a chainsaw at Sears don't use their chainsaws enough to actually wear a chain out, so they don't bother to stock replacement parts.

they stock plenty of replacement chains for 12" bars and up. This is for there pole saw with a 8" bar. I got one off the shelf at HD.
