Seat belt buckle, is there a better one?

In my car, I am running the center console that G-Body sells, and the buckle is a little too low to be convenient. The old school release button is kind of a pain also.

Is there a seatbelt buckle from another vehicle that would make a good transplant? I.e. look close to original, be a little longer, and have a modern top-release style button. Hopefully it would be compatible with the stock "other end" so I would only have to change one side......


Anyone got a solution to this?

How about going with a street legal harness Bob. I think the one Scott uses is DOT approved.

GM has seat belt extensions for newer cars, they may have them for the GN too.
