I pulled the pan on my 200R4 tonight and found the clutch material I predicted, but also found a very thin disk shaped piece with a hole in the center and about 4 pieces of what look like a snap ring. They are about 1/4" long and curved.
I had the tranny rebuilt ~300 miles ago, and installed it with a freshly rebuilt D5. It shifted firm through all gears, in fact, still does. But just the other day it wouldn't shift out of first(TV cable adjustment did nothing). Then two days later I decided to take it out one more time, and it shifted firm through all the gears, but when I slowed down, there was a tell-tale sound that said something was still wrong. Now I'm just not sure what. This is the second rebuild that has gone south in less than 700 miles! This one was supposed to be a no-charge replacement for the first one.
The car was a mid-12 combo, and now is becoming just an eye sore.
Any thoughts?
