Sensor question

Searched the forums up and down and can't find an answer.

I need to know what the sensor on the front passenger side of the intake manifold is, it has one male connector and connects to a green wire.

I appreciate the help.

Coolent temp sensor. Just changed my out. Runs better on start up.

It's a temperature switch that operates the water temperature idiot light on the dash. It's not a temperature sensor.
