Hey guys, I have a Precision PT70GTq, Im sending the exhaust housing out to be ceramic coated, Im trying to remove it but its stuck, all fasteners removed, I tried tapping it gently but its not moving much, its a low mile turbo, not rusty at all. Curious if anybody has a trick or secret to removing it without a fight, thanks and sorry for the stupid question, Ryan

Tap a little less gentle, or position some of the bolts so that as you loosen them they will push against another part of the turbo and end up "pushing" the housing off.

yeah two of the bolts should be harder to get to than the others [because they hit the bearing center section] and while you carefully alternate loosening the bolts you will see the housing pull back.... remember alternate - because you will see the blades to housing wall tolerances are very close. HTH

sooooo... put at least the two opposing bolts back in [loosely but enough to slip under center section] then spin around the hsg until the bolts are under the center

ususally its rust and carbon that sticks the metal shield and housing together...i spray carb cleaner and pb blaster to help loosen it.
