I remember him saying it was hardly tuned at that stage. He also said he didn't have to put in a whole lot of money to get this project done because he sold off a bunch of 109 stuff, and it doesn't take a stack of cash to get 3800 stuff from the bone yard. Nice things about the 3800 are how stout they are (I've heard 8's with stock bottom), you can grab another for $500 if you blow it up, and the heads flow a lot of air. This is just all stuff I read though.
