I just put a 2004R in my Chevelle and I have a line pressure issue that is scaring the crap out of me. At startup in idle in park I get 60 PSI but at WOT I only get about 125 PSI and when the TV cable is pulled out all the way in park I only get about 125 PSI. What is going on here? TV cable kit is from Bow Tie Overdrives.

it sounds like the throttle valve in the valve body is only going thru 1/2 of its travel.

I KNEW it

Spring is too stiff....son of a  I threw the old one out too. Is there a way to get a bunch of different springs untill I find the right one?

grrrrrrrrrrr

I'm so mad right now I could scream. I hope I didn't hurt it too much by running it short. The instructions from BTO are VERY specific:

If you have a used transmission or one rebuilt by another company, you will need to install our custom length spring into the valve body. This is not an optional step. If you fail to install our spring you will try to run this transmission in an SSS (Short Spring Syndrome) condition which can quickly prove fatal to your transmissions frictions. This is a very simple easy installation but MUST be done!

My 2004R is a factory GM Monte SS unit. I put BowTie Overdrive's spring in (just as they had said above) and now it's too stiff!?!?!?!?! grrrrrrrrrrrr  Chris, If I don't get the answers I wanna hear out of BTO I will be calling the shop tomorrow.
