SES Stoddard yesterday at cruise speed. OTC 4000 said there was not data. Engine had no power. Pulled over. As I was coming to a stop the SES stopped flashing and the engine began to run or idol like normal. OTC 4000 had all the data on the screen again. Did not do it the rest of the cruise. The anticipation of it happening was intense. Engine is in great shape so it must be electrical. But where? Checked the grounds and the orange wire at the battery.

Sounds like bad chip connection. Remove chip, retention the leads in the chip socket and reinstall chip.

Check the orange power wire/ecm feed by battery for secure connection I have seen quite a few issues with the wire being broken internally, corroded, etc. and causing intermittent issues.

Inspected the orange wire, no visible problem. Pulled the chip again nothing noticeable. Went for a cruise and there were no issues. Strange how the problem is gone with out knowing.

If the bolt on the wiring plug at the ignition module is tight... back off about 1/8 turn.

My car doesn't all kinds of flaky crap when that bolt is tightened down.

My bolt will not tighten the blind nut is loose. I tried epoxy but it only held for awhile. It has been this way for along time.
