shift cable and linkage setup

On a stock 84GN how does the floor shift cable attach to the tranny with the column linkage also connected???My cable was missing when I bought it and I can't figure out how this all goes together....thanx

If I understand your ? correctly, on the side of the trans is a bracket. It has a slot for the column rod to attach and a small post for the shift cable to attach.
