I have had the opportunity to ride in 3 different GN's the last couple of days and just picked up mine after having my trans rebuilt.

At approx what speed should the car shift into o/d under light throttle while cruising. I have seen anywhere from 45 mph to 60 mph and mine comes in at around 55mph? All three cars seem to shift 1-2 2-3 at around the same speed / engine rpm.

One of the cars is bone stock very low miles and o/d comes on at 60mph. It seems a bit high. What factors can affect the shift point, TV cable adjustment? If it is too loose does it shift sooner or later?

Are there any down sides to dual feeding the clutches for third gear?

Thanks

Jim

Stocker is around 45ish for 4th. Are you sure you are talking 4th gear and not the TCC locking?

TV cable is just 1 maybe 2 clicks is about all you get before soft shifts and bad things.

Dual feding the directs will snap a stock forward drum shaft so a billet or hardened piece is required.

Thanks for reply. I think I may have an issue in mine. See new post.
