Shifting softer?

Last week my car was shifting hard, very hard and crisp, this week its shifting very soft I almost dont feel it shift, what should I check or look at? should I change the filter and fluid? What type of fluid is recomended? All I know about my tranny is that it has a 2800 stall convertor and it has 2 grand in reciepts, so its worked.

could be a # of things, like accum. leaking, low pressure, stuck valve.... how bout some more specific's like what trannie, what shifts have changed, all or some, any speeds? Why 2K invested and what for?

2004r, most noticable is my shift into second gear! It broke my neck last week, now I dont even feel it shift. Its a really soft shift. When I start from a dead stop and give it some second used to hit hard, now it dosnt. THird and forth are pretty much the same. I'm gonna change the fluid this week with redline ATF should that help?

sounds like accum. piston leaking or servo/band trouble. How long since it been reworked?

not sure, I just got the car a couple weeks ago so I 'll find out all I can off the previous owner and check back. If it is what you say, is it a big deal to fix, and how much do you think it would run?
