my car is shifting out at 6000-6300 RPM, i know this is way way too high, what do i do to take the shifts down from 6000 to the 5200 rpm its suposta shift at.

when the trans does decide to shift, the tires chirp, everything seems fine besides the shift points.

sounds like you lost the secondary governor spring therefore the upshift rpm is increased because the driveshaft must generate increased rpm to force an upshift against tv upshift oil and spring tension at the shift valves .remove pan and check for presence of spring in governor pan .if you need help locating a replacement governor or spring you can contact any of the vendors here or www.ckperformance.com.good luck and let us know what you find.

i tried adjusting the tv cable to proper spec, in fact, ive adjusted it out further, in closer, it doesnt seem to benifit the shift points, i have it adjusted back to where i had it before, 3/4 throddle the car shifts fairly firm at around 5000 RPM, but under WOT the car still shifts at over 6000 RPM, which i know is too high, i wanna get it to factory 5100, 5200 RPM through all gears, is there anything else i can do without taking the trans pan off?

usuallt the car will go up against the rev limiter at this rpm.are you sure the tach is reading right?
