What is a good shift point for a stock GN? I just installed a monster tach, and it shows it is shifting right around 3000 rpm. Can I take it any higher than that and still be safe?

Thanks

Mine is also stock and it went the fastest shifting at 4500..it will fall on its face above 5000...

It could be that and make sure ur tach is set on 6 cylinder..My autometer is a smaller one and i had to cut a wire (per the instructions ) for it to read correctly for a v6..Im not sure on the monster tachs they may have a switch... Mine shifted at 5000 1-2 and like 3300 on the 2-3 when in drive i went 14.50s shifting at 5000 manually i went 14.42 and 14.55 shifting at 4500 i went 14.22 wheelhopping
