Summer is almost over and its about time to dig into the T Type. Future plans for the T Type are gonna make it a bit unreasonable for daily usage so I've been looking at a few of potential dd's. My girl suggested another mid 90s BMW 325i but that's not really my thing. Believe it or not I am leaning more towards the Riviera or the 240.

95-99 Buick Riviera SC
97-04 Buick Regal GS SC
91-96 Buick Park Avenue Ultra SC
88-91 Iroc Camaro
89-98 Nissan 240sx (Tons of them around here with RB Skyline swaps)

I'd go with the GS having two kids, but I like the riviera. Would make a nice sleeper.

Yeah I have been really leaning towards the SC Rivi. They have a futuristic look that hasn't gotten old yet. Plus it's a definite sleeper. I've seen a few around here for around $2500.

240's in california = $999,999 Insurance + A ticket= Towed and crushed:eek:
Whenever I go to cali... I take a good old hooptie cheap beater. IMO RIVI all the way:biggrin:

X2 on 240's being cop bait.

Got to borrow Vicious's hair to drive the Iroc:biggrin: Nice cars, espcially if you can find one with the 5.7...

I like the Regal GS you listed. First car I drove over 100mph:tongue: The rivera is cool too but hard to find parts I would think...

I am a big fan of the Regal GS...however I am partial! Low cost, great gas mileage, and extremely comfortable to drive!

If you do buy one. Try to find records that the supercharger oil was changed. Or make sure you change it.

Vicious's hair is awesome!!! That would be the period correct hairdo for the Iroc!!!

The Regal GS is a great pic too!!! I like them in black with gray interior...wonder why!!!

I know it wasnt on the list but take a look at 94-96 SS Impalas.

There are tons of them around too...I used to have a 95 Caprice Impala Clone on 22'' Wire Wheels. I'm kinda over Impala/Caprices unless it's a lowrider.

Will do.

I've also been seeing a lot of late 80s to early 90s Mustangs. I've never owned a Mustang in my life but the prices on these are just right. Besides being a Ford have any of you had major issues with them?

I have a 99GT and its been a great car, Im not a big fan of the 4.6 though. I think a 94 cobra or GT will make a nice DD. I think they still had the 5 liter in 94.

i;m also in the Regal GS/Riveria camp too. I personally am an advocate of buick engined cars lol...but doesn't hurt to look at the late model (04+) Impalas with the L36 or the SS with the L67 Series 2.....dont your state have state surplus auctions? might wanna check it out for ex-cop cars, or state fleet cars...

Next weekend I'm going to check out a 89 Vert Stang GT with a 347 stroker/5 speed in it and a 94 GT with a Novi blower on it. Both are under $3500.

I have owned alot of cars but never a Ford. Even though I am a GM man at heart, I have always liked the late 80s early 90s Mustangs. I have had friends that owned them and they look like a lot of fun. Honestly the $ vs fun factor is in the Mustangs favor. My brother keeps telling me to get a 94 up Camaro but they are a royal PITA to work on. As long as my DD has some power and an most importantly an A/C then I'm good.

How about a Crown Vic? A clean cop car doesn't usually attract cop attention...( I presonally like the black detective models) I saw a few out there a few years ago rigged up for using CNG. Several spots out ther to buy CNG as well... Maybe ease the pain at the pump?

Crown Vics are cool but if I go with a Ford product its gotta be a Mustang Notch 5.0 or a mid 90s Lincoln Mark VIII....maybe even a SC Thunderbird.

What about motorcycle?

I had a HD V Rod a few years ago but sold it. If I ever get another it will be a little toy bike... like a 2 stroke YSR50 or an Aprilia 50. Really rare, low power, and just made for buzzin around the neighborhood.
