Any additions that are wired directly? gauges etc? Unplug the ECM? Did you disconnect all terminals on the Alt?

Any additions that are wired directly? gauges etc? Unplug the ECM? Did you disconnect all terminals on the Alt?
I disconnected the Hotwire kit and the main wire from the back of the alternator. My alternator is using only the one wire not the factory plug. I unhooked both harnesses from the ECM and there was not a change in amp draw. Earlier I made a mistake the amp draw is 2.2 amps dc not 2.9

I am having the same I put am amp meter in the circuit and I have a 2.9 amp draw. I have discounted every fuse twice. Disconnected the radio, alarm, tps, alternator, fuel pump, fan relays and virtually every electrical plug I could reach and it remains at 2.9 amps DC. I even swapped amp meters to be sure. My battery will die in 2 days to he point that it won't even turn engine over.
This is the 3rd battery in last past year.
Any suggestions
Did you unplug both connections to the fan delay relay (the big one on the driver's fender)?

I had the same problem when I first got my car. I replaced the radio etc... found nothing! I got tired of pulling the fuse so started ripping stuff apart. Found wire harness from fuse block that goes up and behind the dash to radio etc melted/fused together!! What a mess I had. I couldn't find a used harness, so I started replacing the bad spot, wire by wire by wire. To even see what your dealing with, everything on the DS dash needs to come off. I may have pictures If you want to see them. Let me know

If the fuse blows when you slam the door, it could be the grey wire for the console light is frayed. Common problem. Just lift up the center console and you will see the light bulb and wire. The wire is held by a metal clip that eventually cuts through the wire. Also, for some reason, I've replaced the cig. lighter 3 or 4 times over the years. They seem to short out for some reason.
