I sold a computer on ebay for a total price of $101 and shipped it out the same day i got his payment. He lives in the same state as me so he should have gotten it the next day. Two weeks later he said he has not received it and wants his money back or me to ship the computer. I have a shipping receipt but did not get a tracking number or insurance because he did not want it the insurance. Is he entitled to a refund or am im in the right for thanking maybe he got the computer and trying to screw me. By the way my feedback is 126

if he said that he didn't want insurance and you have a receipt showing that you shipped it I would tell him too bad. Scan in the receipt and show it to him showing that you shipped it out. If you're more worried about your ebay feedback then it might be worth it to give him his money back. But if you have all 126 positive feedback I wouldn't worry about it let him leave negative feedback and then respond to it saying what happened.

Great find!!!!!!,,i just ordered one for each car!!!

Did you offer insurance? If so, you are completely in the right. Otherwise if you are worried about negative feedback refund the person and call it a leson learned. From now on you may want to ship UPS Ground and buy insurance (it's cheap). Obviously you can pass on any extra costs to the customer and you are covered.

It all depends on how concerned you are about (1) negative feedback. The negative feedback won't be there forever. If your feedback is 100% positive and you want to retain that then refund his money. You can also dispute the negative feedback thru ebay and show them that the customer did not want insurance so it would be on him. It might be not be worth your aggrivation tho.

If your worried if he received the package and is trying to beat you then see if the package was ever delivered by the tracking number or if it was lost (stolen) in transit. But without insurance then one usually does not have to sign for it so someone may have stolen it after delivery.

Insurance is cheap tho. I never shipped anything without insurance. UPS, Fedex, etc.... loose or damage packages all the time. When your paying someone $10 hr to work in a warehouse they throw your package like its a frisbee. They also steal. I would always put "Produce" on my package so people would be less likely to steal it.

I got burned on something like this a few years back. The key when shipping anything is to get a tracking number. Whether you ship with the post office or UPS you can get a tracking number. The post office cost a little extra though. If I have a tracking number and someone says they did not receive it, but tracking number tells a different story then they are not getting a refund.

I never ship without requiring insurance and a signature requirement. i do waive the signature requirement for those who don't want it but make sure they understand that they are responsible if it is delivered but someone else steals the box from their porch.
