Hello James looks like we might be doing business again, lol. Thanks for the other part you shipped down here. I've been fighting with the insurance company but I should have an answer by tomorrow as to what they will do. I sent a receipt for my new engine and they are going to take that into consideration. I found a part locally here so I'll head out and check it out but if that doesn't pan out i'll give you a call. Thanks for all the support guys.

Also, the roof isnt kinked and from what i remember the frame was fine. These cars are super rare and i would have to see another one bite the dust, im going to try and save it.

I've already dumped 8,900 (what i paid for the car) + 4,000 (super bad ass tranny, torque converter and a few nick nacks) + 9,000 (botched engine job) + 4,000 (second rebuild in 1 year) + 4500 (various upgrades like wideband, razors alky, guages, brakes, upgraded turbo, turbo rebuild, front mount intercooler, etc etc). I'm in too deep gotta save this car.

The pics below show what they look like when I'm done with them. I try to save everything that I think I can sell the rest gets recycled. Both quarters are mint along with the passenger side floor pan

Northville dr- off 45 north. They usually have one a month. The one that was there a few weeks ago was real clean

Fight with the adjuster using the rarity of the car as leverage. Tell him go and find you a replacement for the money they want to give you if he thinks he can.

Providing the frame is good or can be straightened, I would clip it at the "A" pillars and replace the whole uni-body going back.

That's what we did to my '86 GN back in the '90's when a drunk slammed into the back of it while it was parked in front of a buddy's house. Curled damn near the whole trunk under the car.

When it was done you couldn't tell that the entire body had, for all intents and purposes, been replaced. We used an '85 plain jane Regal as a doner car.

Thieves got it a couple years later........

I don't care if you buy the parts off me but I hope you fix your car!!! It looks nice and clean. Most of what's left up north here are rot boxes and regular regals.

Ok I've been out for work but im back in town now and I have to take care of this issue because im leaving the country for a few months around July. So I spoke with the insurance adjuster and I argued and argued but they will give 8K for the car because the paint is bad. The car is a total loss as far as the adjuster is concerned. I didn't ever plan on selling it so the car having a not clean title doesn't bother me. I told the guy that I would rather have them fix the car for 4K or however much it would cost because its cheaper than them paying me 8K. He is trying to find out how much I can buy the car back for. We went back and forth for a while but I'm going to see if I can speak with his senior about them just fixing the car. he's saying it will take 6K to fix it, which isn't the case. I would say 5K at the most.

clip it at the A pillars? You mean replace the whole back half? Sorry my car lingo isn't that great. I actually found a whole back half of an 87 T-Type the guy is willing to part for $400.

Get a lawyer involved even if it's just a friend that will do some fast talking for you.;) You wouldn't believe how fast insurance companies will settle for more if you've got a mouth piece willing to show actual value.:D

Yes, that is exactly what I am proposing. The "whole back half" but including the roof. Cut off the entire body from the top of the windshield back.

No sense in trying to graft in those "C" pillars, by your pics the left side is done from the door back anyway.

Then again, I don't know shit about body work, or maybe......

fix it, my gn was worse than that, that's nothing if you ask me . here are some pics of mine, I spent $3k to get her back in shape.
unless i'm seeing wrong , that is not a hard fix. my gn went from that to back in shape:)

Wow, thats way worse than mine is. At the same time, thats very motivating that you where able to fix if for 3K. Did the insurance company total the car and then you had to buy it back?

Any one have an opinion on this option? I have a donor car so I can do what he is stating.

Put a quarter panel on it and fix it!!!!! No nos car I wouldn't of deemed fixable yours looks like a easy fix unless there are guys with no bodywork skills in Texas

no, I never went thru the insurance , company i thought if i did , they might lean that way, so just took it upon my self, looked for the parts i needed and the too it to
my guy down here , who has repaired far worse than mine, so i knew he could get the job done, having been through this with mine, i can tell you with ease , a rear quarter panel is all you need, your car is very fixable. search for the parts , and then find someone in your area. i would fix that buick, you can do it texasterror ,
i got it for $3k painted, but that's because the prior paint job, they gave him the wrong clear coat, my guy is a stand up guy, paint and body $0.00
find someone, your buick is very fixable. some more pics, i hope this helps.

Be sure to look at the floor pan/trunk floor for damage, your car was hit pretty hard.

Don't just fix what's visable......... If you're going to fix it, shouldn't you fix it right?
