SignUp Now!Charlie, wouldn't you want to get rid of 75 lbs off the front? Mine handled horribly without it. I only took it off when I went to the track. The float on these things at highway speed is damn scary....and kinda funny.

This is a better idea, it is real easy to strip out the threads on the frame where the sway bar mounts. If your end links are in good shape you don't need to take it off. What you can do is take a ratchet and wrenches to the track and loosen the end links up so the bar and arms move more feely. Once you're done at the track tighten up the links again and drive home.![]()

Charlie, thanks for the info. I'm actually waiting to cut out and weld new threaded bolt hole in my frame. I stripped my bolt holes on the drivers side and I even threaded with a bigger bolt, 12mm and that stripped out. The main reason for the stripping was take the sway bar off multiple times. This wasn't even at the track.Make sure the links aren't rusted up or buy new ones. If you buy new ones they should have lock nuts or double nuts so the link doesn't back off. Loosen the nut up so you have just a few threads left before the end, and have a spare in the car just in case one decides to go missing.![]()

LolThis is true i've seen me do it...
A regal bar no, a TR bar is heavy.A regal sway bar is 75# really? I find that hard to believe, effective weight maybe.
Use knurled rivnuts for the sway bar. I stripped the holes out trying to torque them to factory specs after replacing the bushings. There's really not much 'meat' holding the sway bar bolts in at all so drilling them out and putting bigger bolts in may not work if you're constantly loosening/tightening the bolts. Rivnuts are the way to go.This is a better idea, it is real easy to strip out the threads on the frame where the sway bar mounts.
