Here's a sound clip/vid:

Man!! That sounds really good. I'm going to try and make my own little video and post it here later this week. Just to see what you all think!

What I would like to see is basically a single shot to a crossflow muffler with dual tips. That would satisy both camps well, the weight advantage of the single shot system with the looks of the duals.

My Torque Tech 3" dual system recently rotted out and after much debate I replaced it with a 3" single shot. I haven't installed it yet but I should have it by the end of the week.

I don't care about loud, I just want the exhaust to come out the back of the car. Seems silly to add a bunch of weight and complexity to the system when it's a single pipe to begin with.

It may not look as good, but if cared about looks I wouldn't be driving a 1987 Buick :p

Jim

I would have to disagree, the '87 Buick is one of the nicest looking cars around IMO. It ressembles the muscle cars of the 60's especially with dual tailpipes. What more can you ask for a big boat that beats most small sports cars!

I completely agree with you there. Some of these Duals add 20lbs to the exhaust, and while the dual pipes look nice, who's really looking? Its only one pipe from the turbo, so whats the need for the extra piping? I thought us buick guys were all about performance over looks (no big wings, ground effects, etc.). Its almost like those cavalier SS packages that have the duals out the rear and they're only 4 cylinders. Anyways, I heard the ATR single shot is crazy loud. I will be purchasing the gbodyparts.com 3" Single shot they sell with the magnaflow muffler. I expect it to be quieter with the Magnaflow, but not too quiet. Plus it's cheaper and saves weight. A no brainer for me. I like loud pipes!

P.S. GN's look MEAN! So I DO think it looks good! :)

I have a stock exhaust on mine but I am going to go with a single shot when I install my 4.1. I want mine to sound loud and nasty when I go flying by people :D :D :D

Unfortunately ATR went under. That is their 3" Crossflow system. I have it on my car and love it. Nice and deep at idle and cruise, All h#ll breals loose once you go WOT. You can find them in the parts for sale section once in a while. Sorry, I can't post any clips. My engine is currently getting new guts in an attempt to obtain "ludicris speed" :D
