My neighbor just built a Honda but it's in Civic and is still FWD. He's shooting for a 8.999. We're going to the track next week to put some shake down runs on it....I'll try to get a video for anyone who cares.

Lol! brick, so what do you think about our import scene? Very strong huh?, Domestics don't rule here. This is the kind if sh-t we TR owners have to deal with all the time @ the dragstrip, that's if you take it to the strip  . Buicks suck! That's why even though there should be somewhere around 100 TR here in PR you don't see them @ the track. What I most hate is they don't hesitate shoving in your face they got a smaller engine   You should see the EVOs...dozens & the average ET is 11.5.

Yeah I can imagine there are a lot of fast imports down in PR as the imports are obviously more popular down there. The thing to keep in mind though is with the Buicks you are dealing with 20+ year old technology when being compared to something like an EVO. Gotta respect those little imports as they are certainly no joke!

It's the opposite here in New Jersey, as domestics rule the tracks. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few Imports throwing down some very respectable numbers, however, this is when they are not breaking down lol. If I had a dollar for every Honda we've seen being escorted away from the staging lane, either from a broken engine, axle, or simply just leaking all over the place, I'd be racing for free (gas included) each and every night we're there lol.... ;)

They really don't hesitate, I hate when they do that, but they forget that they need a gazillion pounds of boost to get them there, either that or their running essentially no weight on the chassis whatsoever on those NA Honda's. Those kinds of runs don't impress me at all, what impresses me more is when a full weight daily driven domestic runs in the 8's on a 17" rim, forcing half of the boost most of the Supra's on youtube need to run their numbers.... :D

Street, I totally agree with you on the domestics (V8s) being more reliable. but that's not the issue. The issue is there are more imports here in PR, unlike in the states, that what you see on the streets are mostly domestic cars. With that being said it's understandable that you will see more imports @ our local dragstrips (4). It doesn't matter if they blowup their engine tomorrow if they handed your ass to you today! You still got your ass kicked...get my point? BTW thanx 4 the vids...awesome ride.

I cant see a cage in the car. Is there one?

Sounds like he's chasing Tony Palo's Integra. I wish him luck because he's going to need it. Tony wasn't the first FWD Honda in the 8's because of luck.

Is his name Chaz BTW?

They are in the same class. He had was pissed when that car went 8's b/c he was all setup for low 9's. He then had to change everything to step it up. He owns a local shop that does a lot of Honda builds.

His name is not Chaz.
