slap shifter questions

I was condsidering installing a slap shift in my 86 GN but i wanted to know if with slap shifters there is a way you can set it so the car will shift automatically. Also what is a good brand for the GN?

I would stick with the stock shifter, not much advantage to shifting these cars they do it quite well on their own. Put it in drive and hammer it, the tranny will do its thing just right. That is unless you have a really fast modded car, thats a different story.

At any rate to answer you queston, they do make a pro stick for these cars. Not sure what your talking about as far as slap shifter, maybe like a slap stick in the old days.
