We put my buddy's car together stock rebuild car turns on fine we have it all settled in as far as scanmaster rdgs car is very snappy on park and or neutral it sounds very healthy once its driven around it feels like a COW DRAGGING HER TITTIES ALL OVER THE ROAD.. feels like a n/a v6 BUT the boost gauge say's 15# of boost going in the engine...thought it might have been the WG on the downpipe not properly adjusted well he just took it off and aligned it still slow as a cow feels like a n/a v6 actually a n/a car might beat it...cant figure it out everything on the scanmaster rds fine.. car will rev up no burps or hiccups just doesnt go anywhere.. the turbo spools like a fighter jet but the car just goes absolutely no where
no where!!!.. could it be the turbo? with the stocker turbo the car would smoke 1,2nd like a bat outa hell..not sure need some help.. wonder if the turbo is bad but the gauge reads 15 pounds of boost? car feels like its in park honestly... trying to diagnose it but car turns on perfect no smoke idles great.. good fpr any ideas?
 
No wonder you are asking for help! The comparison you make, pretty well says you've been spending too much time "stump training" some farmer's cows, and little to no time, learning how to tune a Buick....:eek::D:p
Maybe, give the cows a rest, and post some specs about the set up, some SM readings...

And, back away from the bong.....
 
agreed! telling us about cows doesn't tell us squat about how the car is actually running??? How about some actual scanmaster numbers? Like....what are your O2's doing at WOT?? Any knock retard??
 
Can't even begin to answer this without even knowing the combo....turbo? convertor? cam? heads? etc etc etc.......

800-875 o2's WOT 93 pump gas 18* timing. its an alien head sticker on the chip..
bl 135 on idle and a short drive around
int 132 and changing
tps .42
volt.13+
autometer boost gauge shows 15#'s
Stock Engine/intercooler.. Ptrim turbonetics thdp open DP precision injectors built trans 3k converter
it feels like the puck on the DP
 
What size p trim? Does it run like a pig tghe whole time, or just out of the hole? 3k might be a little low if it's a 60 or more.... 32-3400.......
 
fp- is good 2 new pumps with new sender and lines... at the line it has 43 psi and climbs, ill try and figure it out when i see him later today its my buddy's car he doesnt go on here so he asked me to post it for him gets some wide opinions
 
its a pig the whole time car doesnt move from 1- 2 or 3rd gear with a wot blast just feels like the car has no boost turbo moves turbo sounds great spins freely almost no shaft play new gaskets all the way around.. no spitting or popping plugs look good

**Actual engine timing was verified by him, i didnt personally see that..i can check that today when i go help him out, he's frustrated so he wanted some opinions from guys on the board..

Who here knows what a green alien chip is? i told him to order a TT chip..

Wow...that kills my reply. I had same issue. Found out my buddy had the mufflers changed and they put on very restrictive mufflers. Car had no power at all. If your open dump and still nothing...I'm stumped.
 
Stock rebuild huh. I had a machine shop in Indiana clean my heads up change some valves, SPRINGS, and seals. Got me good too. Like $650 bucks back in 2000-2001. Idle was good, driveability was fine and power was pathetic. Ported irons, cam, Turbo, injectors, all the goodies. Gave up on it and pulled the motor for a GN specialist to get the motor checked and redone. He called me to the shop to see my new valve springs were for a N/A Buick V-6! Moral of the story, just because its new doesn't mean its right.
 
800 to 875 o2's...remember a narrow band o2 isn't linear...it's probabaly pig rich, pull fuel pressure or get a different chip

that is a bit fat....springs could be tha cause of that issue tho...i had an issue ever since i installed new heads with being pig rich and breaking up at 4900 rpm....took the NEW heads to my machine shop and was told all the springs were weak......haven't had an issue since.....
 
What im going to do is swap his injectors for 42's that i have with a TT matching chip and go from there

You say it runs like a n/a V6, maybe it has n/a V6 springs. Verify the valve spring pressure...
 
springs were'nt touched, springs were changed last year to 100# springs.. car ran good with the stocker turbo a few weeks ago..unfortunately the car caught fire so he took engine out bought a gn roller i had so before putting the engine in the GN we did all gaskets etc to "freshen it"-.. he had rebuilt the engine the prior year and ran great post the rebuild.. ..what was done now b4 installing engine was simple he changed the injectors and put a p trim tnectics on there.. double pump setup new fuel filter thats about it springs are not the issue fuel pressure is good..he was given a chip with a green alien told him just to get a TT chip now he has 3 computers, he got some from online im wondering if a non turbo computer "small chip" could be a corporate on this problem im going to bring one of my turbo computers today swap it real quick and test..
