i removed valve covers for the first time since i purchased this 87 Regal and oil came pouring out and sludge everwhere! WHAT CAN I DO TO CLEAN HIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! NEED HELP!

It will take alot of oil changes to get rid of the sludge. Pour Sea Foam (it is a product, not the stuff you find at the oceans shore line;) ) into the crank case with the cheapest oil you can buy and run it for a day and then change the oil/filter. Rise and repeat as they say on a bottle of shampoo. Keep doing it untill the sludge goes away. Also replace the PCV valve, as that may be the reason it is all sludged up. It's probably tiome to rebuild the engine, though.

I'm sure you are removing all the sludge you can reach with a rag or scraper, yes?

Rislone makes an additave to disolve the sludge, there are probably other additives also.

Change oil and change it again when it turns color. It will eventually get a lot cleaner.
