small gap between block and cap?

I just purchased a 109 block off of a member here and have a slight concern. looking at the rear cap from the back of the engine forward, there is a hairline gap on both sides, between the block and the cap. Is this a big deal? It doesnt look like it is registered very well. All the others look good.

The side seals are missing.

Those gaps are normal, once the side seals are in place no need to worry.
