small swishing or sucking noise

Ive been having trouble with trans not shifting out of 2 until high rpms , after vech hot. I put cap on dump pipes and today drove it after adjusting t cable and it shifted hard no matter how I adjusted it.I noticed that when I gave gas I heard a small swish on back of engine so then I put it in over drive it done it nostop put in 3 and it didn't do it.I turned car off in park and I heard it at end ever time.Anyone had this problem??almost sucking noise almost sound like tourque converter not sure.

you need to put up a video if you can so people can hear the noise and what you are describing.

it was the tv cable set wrong I was adjusting it but I have to press gas pedal to set it . I set the tv cable and press gas pedal now shifting good.but now when it sets over night it shifts hard next day until I press gas pedal then does good . anyone had that problem???

I was told it was a rebuilt trans and it worked fine

but mine is making a sucking noise at idle and in gear coming from the back of the motor it sounds like but I cannot locate it. im sure its in the trans and today I lost overdrive but all else is good and fluid is at correct level and very clean with no burnt smell at all it looks like new fluid.

I adjusted tv cable and it is doing fine its seems alittle soft goin 2 to 3,but a lot better . Mine sounded like that but 10 time not as loud. what was wrong with yours?

My converter broke. First I lost lock up but everything else worked fine. The next day it started to make that noise.

The lock up clutch in the converter was toast and somehow I broke the Sprague too.
