I thought i had a problem with it.The pump quit spraying. The pump ran but there was no spray.I took it apart and found the MM oil i had put in the alcohol had jelled with moisture in the alcohol pluging the screen to the pump.Cleaned it out and no longer use MM oil in the alcohol.The new smc pump doesn't need lube.Problem free now.

Yeah, only the old school SMC pumps needed the lube, the new ones you just dump your alky in there and get after it :tongue:

Then why are you buying a kit that has a pump that has gone out twice recently? Buy one of Razors kits and get customer support to go with it.

why jump to conclusions?i just wanted to see if anyone had problems with their pump.....this guy might be causing his own problems(wrong alky/mix not installed properly etc):biggrin:

I have got the smc jit on my car and it works perfectly. I mounted my pump by the fan shroud instead on the ac accumalator. Because I have freind and his pump keep going out, due to the heat of the downpipe. Since he moved it, its fine. If your kit is the newest, it clearly says non-lubed alky.
