If it was me, I would go stock powdercoated black valve covers as the GN1's are pretty famous for not installing easy with everything in place in the motor compartment, might be difficult to re-install the kidney plate after the GN1's are in place, they leak (I have heard) around the oil breather caps as the oil breather caps are not exactly a thigh fit, and you have no guarantee that any smog station will certify the smog cert after the GN1 install, and you still won't have the passenger side to turbo inlet hose. If you pretty up some stock valve covers, find & install the passenger side to turbo stuff then you're good to go, and just disconnect after smog. Of course that's just for off-road use only. HTH

I've been told the TA performance valve covers are better, so i'm going with those. My stock valve covers are ok. but my turbo doesn't have any place to connect the breather to. I'd have to drill a hole in my maf pipe i guess, and connect the breather there. that just doesn't sound right to me? but its probably cheaper...

I'm pretty sure that the hose to the canister is cracked considering that i've change almost every other hose.
I got an idea about my breather situation but I need some input. I'm thinking about getting some GN1 valve covers and simply capping both breather holes for smog. After smog put the breathers back in. This should work IF someone makes a oil cap for GN1 valve covers. And I get an excuse to get some new valve covers and breathers.
All input is appreciated.

If smog is your concern anything you hang on your engine makes an inspector nervous & if any doubt or questions on the legality of the parts he has the right to fail you. There is absolutely no reason to replace your valve covers. Plus capping up breather holes is a bad idea. The rear main seal will become your new vent to relieve crankcase pressure plus still technically illegal.Regardless a breather can be made from the valve cover to the turbo. Your making a big deal out of something that shouldn't be. Let me see what you have going & help you to come up with a solution to this tragedy. Yes there would a donation to my favorite charity ( wife ) should I come up with something. Or at least offer you some cheese with that whine. So dry your eyes & call me.

I also have cure for that. There's a bar down the street with some real hot barmaids that can take your mind of that Buick.There just also happens to be a smog station next door. If you can catch the smog tech when he's sober you may get lucky & even pass. if you still have some anxiety left over. There is the happy endings spa near by with some Asians that advertise a two girl special for $60.00 not including weekends though.Before you know it the day is shot your broke & its time to go home & tell the wife what a hard day you had.

Just trying to get boosted evil through some difficult times.I didn't feel like he was getting enough compassion & his pain was not being felt. He was starting to show signs of post traumatic stress disorder & possible erectile dysfunction over this breather pipe issue.

The only thing Viagra ever did was give me a stiff neck for four hours when it got stuck in my throat. I'm glad that this issue has finally seen the light of day. I think that a separate forum should be dedicated to this serious problem. Whats needed on TB.com is for this administration take partial responsibility for the damage that this Buick thing has created. You are an example. Whats needed here is change. Evil save yourself before its too late. Your not alone we are here for you.

Thats the second request for a sending unit in a row this week. They are no longer made.Parts for these cars are evaporating rapidly.I might have a used one. But first see if anyone else has it cause I'm reluctant to let it go as no more are available.Plus I find your failure to keep the southwest section updated on your progress rather offensive & arrogant,
