I have finally gotten all of the bugs worked out, (injectors dumping fuel, cam sensor problems, egr solenoid filter was clogged making the egr open up at idle, etc...) now that I have fixed all of the problems it now smokes after it warms up at idle. I believe that with all of the fuel being dumped by the injector problem (enough fuel to be dripping from the tailpipes) that the gas may have damaged the turbo oil seal allowing the oil to run into the downpipe. I did not have this problem before the injector problem, and like I said it does not smoke at all when I start it up until the pipes get hot, so I dont think that it is an engine problem and when I give the engine some RPM's the smoke seems to go away but when I let it idle it will start to smoke.

Just wondering what the board thinks.

Thanks

I had the same problem your gonna have to fix the turbo, most likely an exhaust side seal, once i put a new turbo on/rebuilded the turbo it was all set, good luck

I have the same problem and I figured its a turbo seal and bought a rebuild kit from percision. I'll do it in a few weeks

I just sat down from being in the shop. I removed the turbo and there is some side to side and end to end play in the shaft. Just for kicks I put on some ear protection and rerouted the oil feed line back into the oil drain tube and fired it up just to see if the engine would smoke at all. No smoking from the engine at all. So now I guess I have to rebuild the turbo or have somebody else do it for me :D

PTE used to have a 2 week turnaround. I had a MAF screen go throu my TE 44 and had it back soon. Or you could upgrade and get a new one in 2 days. They are in Hebron In. 2 hour drive. Good Luck Sorry to see all the problems youve been havin. Marty

I pulled my the hose from the turbo to intercooler of and had no oil in them  I also pulled the up pipe off and it was clean too  So it's only going in the down pipe.
